Have you ever read the Apocrypha, the other books relating to the books of the Holy Bible that were written by Greeks and Hebrews around the same time? They offer excellent insight into the beliefs of the times and prophecies given by followers of the one Truth. This is an excerpt from 2 Esdras:
1 And he said unto me, In the beginning, when the earth was made, before the borders of the world stood, or ever the winds blew,
2 Before it thundered and lightened, or ever the foundations of paradise were laid,
3 Before the fair flowers were seen, or ever the moveable powers were established, before the innumerable multitude of angels were gathered together,
4 Or ever the heights of the air were lifted up, before the measures of the firmament were named, or ever the chimneys in Sion were hot,
5 And ere the present years were sought out, and or ever the inventions of them that now sin were turned, before they were sealed that have gathered faith for a treasure:
6 Then did I consider these things, and they all were made through me alone, and through none other: by me also they shall be ended, and by none other.
7 Then answered I and said, What shall be the parting asunder of the times? or when shall be the end of the first, and the beginning of it that followeth?
This is from 2 Esdras, preserved in the Latin Vulgate over the course of centuries. They are seven visions of the prophet Ezra while he was still in Babylon, the evil city of old that has come to represent everything evil in the new world we live in…and later referenced in Revelation as Babylon, the home of the Whore who introduces the Anti-Christ into our world and brings into existence the end times.
We should be alert and watching, paying attention to that which crosses the threshold of our doorposts in this time of tribulation. Our religious freedoms are being attacked by all sides. The Democrats are threatening to sever the ten commandments from the schools. Barack HUSSEIN Obama is failing to hold back the hordes of ISIS (Islamic State or ISIL) from our gates. Muslim terrorists break into our territory, guns blazing, killing indiscriminately. Bombs are going off all over the world…Paris, Bangladesh, Libya, Grand Rapids…and we are going to enter into the Age of Tribulation instead of the Age of Progress.
Ezra shows in 2 Esdras that even before the beginning of the times the thought was passed around and considered: what shall be the parting asunder of the times? When shall be the end of the first?
